Weekly rent for the property is £87.99, service charge £13.85 . There is an additional heating charge of £28.30 which is excluded from any benefit/ UC payment . Tenants are  also responsible for individual council tax, water and electricity bills.   

When starting a tenancy with Dudley Council, you will be required to pay both rent and service charges.  The rent paid is for the property that you are occupying, the service charges are usually for the areas outside your property i.e communal lighting, grounds maintenance.  It is important that if you are claiming housing benefit or universal credit, you advise that service charges are being applied to your tenancy to ensure that your entitlement can be calculated correctly. Rent in advance is required prior to accepting a tenancy and may be up to 4 weeks depending on when your next pay date / universal credit date is. Our preferred ongoing method of payment is Direct Debit.
